CIN GEN/14/67: Move to Gov.uk

You may have noticed that Defra and AHVLA web pages have started to move over to the Gov.uk site:https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/department-for-environment-food-rural-affairs

This is part of a move to centralise web guidance and a review has been undertaken to ensure that Defra & AHVLA are communicating the necessary information clearly and consistently across government.
The aim is to have revised AHVLA web content on GOV.UK by the end of September 2014, along with any remaining Defra content, which will continue to be reviewed post transition. The AHVLA website will close, as well as the final parts of the Defra site which were kept available as an interim measure. This should not prevent you from finding the guidance you need, as existing links will be diverted.

Links on the existing AHVLA website will automatically re-direct you to the relevant new web pages on GOV.UK.

One of the benefits of Gov.uk is the ability to sign up for email updates on the policy area of your choice. We would recommend you sign up to ‘All alerts related to policy Protecting animal health and preventing disease, including in trade’.

For technical problems with Gov.uk or accessing the content, please report it on the site itself through the ‘Is there anything wrong with this page?’ link. Any other feedback on the content should be reported to the Centre for International Trade: SSC.Carlisle@ahvla.gsi.gov.uk
