AHDB is a statutory levy board, funded by farmers, growers and others in the supply chain. Their purpose is to make their agriculture and horticulture industries more competitive and sustainable through factual, evidence-based advice, information and activity.

AHVLA. Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency (AHVLA) is an executive agency working on behalf of the Department for the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra), Scottish Government and Welsh Government. The agency was formed on 1 April 2011, following the merger of Animal Health and the Veterinary Laboratories Agency.

BCBC. The British Cattle Breeders Club is a unique mixture of farmers, scientists and industry personnel all dedicated to the advancement of cattle breeding in both the dairy and beef sectors. The Club is run by an elected committee with each member appointed for a period of three years.

The British Pig Association (BPA) was founded in 1884. The Association is the official breed society and maintains the Herd Books for the following breeds: Berkshire, British Landrace, British Saddleback, Duroc, Gloucestershire Old Spots, Hampshire, Large Black, Large White, Middle White, Oxford Sandy & Black, Pietrain and Tamworth. Centre for Dairy Information (CDI) is the culmination of more than five years hard work by leading UK dairy information providers to reduce duplication and cost while improving the accuracy and value of dairy animal welfare, performance, type and ancestry record-keeping.

Cogent Breeding is the UK's largest bull stud. Based on the commercial requirements of today's dairy farmer, Cogent has successfully developed a breeding programme founded on production, type, reliability and new technologies such as Sexed Semen.

DairyCo is a levy-funded, not-for-profit organisation working on behalf of Britain's dairy farmers. Their remit is to solve 'market failure' in the dairy industry - to tackle issues not currently being dealt with sufficiently to meet the needs of the industry.

HCC (Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat Promotion Wales) is the organisation responsible for the development, promotion and marketing of Welsh red meat. We work with all sectors of the Welsh red meat industry.

The Livestock and Meat Commission for Northern Ireland (LMC) is an Executive Non-Departmental Public Body, which was established by Statute (The Livestock Marketing Commission Act [Northern Ireland] 1967) to assist the development of the livestock and livestock products industries.

National Beef Association (NBA) was founded on June 5th 1998 and has been recognised by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Scottish and Welsh Offices, The Department of Agriculture Northern Ireland, the European Commission and the Meat and Livestock Commission as the beef producer’s only specialist representative body.

National Sheep Association (NSA). Founded in 1892, the NSA is an organisation dedicated to representing the interests of its members and serving the sheep industry as a whole. Information on the many UK sheep breeds.

Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) is the public body responsible for helping the Scottish red meat sector improve its efficiency and profitability, and maximise its contribution to Scotland's economy.

Send A Cow is a Christian charity that enables poor farmers in Africa to become self-reliant by providing them with livestock, training and advice.

UK Export Certification Partnership. Export Certification Ltd is the industry partner with Defra in this body which helps to negotiate Third Country export certification for breeding animals, their germplasm and meat.
