Mad about Madison

A strong team from the British Livestock breeding sector will be at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, USA from 30 September to 4 October this year under the British Livestock Genetics (BLG) banner.  Whilst their focus will inevitably be on the dairy breeding business the group also has a very strong involvement on the beef front.

Coordinator of the presence is Rob Wills of UK Sire Services (an independent custom AI centre, supplying and servicing all breeds), a Madison veteran and co-founder of BLG. Others in the group include Philip Halhead fromNorbreck Genetics and Norbreck British Blues, Paul Westaway from Sterling Sires & Melview Angus, Mark Nutsford from King Street Sires (Holsteins) and colleagues from associated companies and Blaise Tomlinson from Sandyford Ayrshires and representing Cattle Services Ayr & the Ayrshire Cattle Society.

So, you will find them around the barns or at their base - Booths IL365 and IL366 in the International Lounge. They’ll be very pleased to see you to talk cattle or even to discuss the possible outcome of the Ryder Cup. If you can’t get there, you can contact them through the BLG website.

For those travelling to Europe rather than USA this year, there’ll be another strong team from the BLG membership at EuroTier in Hanover, Germany in November.
