The English Beef & Lamb Executive (EBLEX) has unveiled an ambitious meat and
meat product export marketing programme for the early part of 2010. The plan includes
exhibitions and road shows during February and March in France, Italy, Germany,
Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Dubai and Cyprus. Five of these shows will target fine
gastronomy restaurants with Quality Standard Mark lamb and beef.
Also breeding stock exports will be promoted in the Ukraine at AgriHort in Kiev
from 2 to 4 February and at SIA in Paris, France from 27 February to 7 March.
It is planned to have English-bred Aberdeen Angus and Hereford cattle on the SIA
stand.
Jean-Pierre Garnier, Export Manager for EBLEX, said: "Although the growth
of exports is very satisfactory, we can do even better as customers in Continental
Europe and further afield begin to appreciate the quality of Quality Standard
lamb and beef."The range of events is very wide from very large exhibitions
such as SIA in Paris, Alimentaria in Barcelona, and Gulfood in Dubai, to a private
food fair in Portugal and targeted gastronomy events. "EBLEX recognises the
important role the development of exports plays in improving producer returns
and will continue to work hard in seeking new markets." Find out more at

visitors often had common interests in production as well. Or, customers can contact
