Yet again, the British cattle breeding sector will be strongly represented at North America’s major specialist show, World Dairy Expo, held annually in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. This year’s show runs from 29 September to 3 October – for more details see www.world-dairy-expo.com

Visitors to the show will receive a big welcome from the ‘Brits’ at various locations.
The world’s largest cattle (and pig) breeding company, British-owned (Genus) ABS Global will be there in a major capacity at AL 153-5.

Cogent, based in Cheshire, England, is a major cattle breeding organisation which pioneered the marketing of sexed-semen; they export Holstein and other genetics around the world. Look out for Export Manager Gerbrich Andringa on the Cogent stand at AL 159B
Rob Wills, Director of UK Sire Services (UKSS) and an Expo veteran will be there again with UKSS fellow-Director Geoff Corke.

UKSS are an independent bull stud for the collection, storage, distribution and marketing of cattle semen from both beef and dairy cattle; their team will include Bill Dennie from GB Bulls, a specialist Holstein breeding and marketing company, they will be found at MC EB5/6

Amongst the many British visitors to this, the world’s major dairy expo, will be Livestock International’s Paul Westaway. Livestock International are a livestock and genetics breeding and marketing company whose principals are backers of the recently launched BritishAngus.com ‘gene to joint’ operation.

Links to the websites of these organisations can be made from the Members’ listing on www.britishlivestockgenetics.com Those who can’t make it to Madison can always make contact by this route.
