Several new certificates for British genetics exports have recently been
agreed, including the resumption of cattle exports to the European
Union. Contact us at BLG
with your enquiries.
Agreed certification on sanitary issues is required between
countries before normal trade in animal products [genetics and meat] can
take place. Within the European Union trade takes place for all products
under harmonised conditions. Animal breeding is very dynamic and the most
advanced countries are those that are most receptive to international
opportunities.

within the European Union might be acceptable.
Updates on certification can be obtained from DEFRA's
website,
http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/int-trde
- there is also a permanent link to it from BLG's website. BLG works
closely with DEFRA through the Export Certification User Group [ECUG]
to progress
export certification. Copies of many specimen certificates can be downloaded
from the DEFRA website http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/int-trde/noneu/ehc.htm .
