Britain’s livestock breeding sector, lead by its world-class pig
breeding companies, will be out in force at various agricultural events
in Asia in the next few months. Marcus Bates, Chief Executive of the
British Pig Association (BPA, which is coordinating this activity) said: “The
sector is investing some GB £500000 (about US$ 1 million) of its
hard-earned money in various trade exhibitions and seminars in the latter
part of 2007 in Asia, Europe, North and South America. He urges: “If
they are on your schedule, please come and see us, the UK has much to
offer. British pig breeding companies are well represented in Asia but
we are always looking for additional customers who want nothing but the
best.”
Near-future events with an Asia focus are:
• Agriviet Hanoi, Vietnam: 26-30 September
• Agrilink, Manilla, Philippines: 4-6 October
• Ildex, Beijing, China: 10-12 October
• Livestock Asia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: 23-25 October
• Swine Raisers Association, Bangkok, Thailand: 20 November
The UK’s breeding sector will be at other events in Europe and
USA during this period, details are on other stories on this website.
